Digital Photography never felt so analong

Today's post is dedicated to the hipstamatic app on my ipod touch (aka the poor man's iphone) I love the vignetting, funky color tones, and how the viewfinder is slightly off. It's a nice way to let my control-freak self to let go and enjoy the organic nature of photography.

Sun-set; taken outside my house

I had to include this one. I have no idea who NOVA is or why he get's his own parking spot. All I know if I love NOVA the show and NOVA science now online. A snapshot was vital.

Black and White print of tree-dirt scattered in a parking lot

Hipstamatic is also a great way to make a boring and conventional photos (famous buildings, mediocre landscapes, statues) have a whole new feeling and vibe to them

post hurricane cycling

Hurricane Irene has really been messing with my mind. Idk if I regret not shooting the storm or not. I knew I would have gotten some awesome images, but the news told EVERYONE stay home and do not go out to take pictures or go shopping ect. I decided to follow orders and stay home and hope the power didnt go out. I have a few images from the Cycles 54 Twilight Series in Lakewood NJ. Great time of day to shoot.

How great is this Cat 5's face?

This is Anthony, David's brother. He not nearly as good a cyclist as David, has a butt-chin, and is mean to me. Unfortunately he's my boyfriend's brother so I have to be nice to him. This is one the best photos taken of him cycling and he knows it, he just doesn't want to admit that his brother's girlfriend shot it

David warming up for his race

Cat 1-2

The break away and winner of the Cat 1-2. There was a bad crash on the last lap and these two lucky guys were the only ones head of it. They're one the same team and we talking and giving each other high-fives the whole last lap

until next time guys

West Headford Cycle Race

Shooting in the rain is miserable. It was hard on everyone; Cyclist, feeders, spectators, directors.

Belmar

I went down the shore last weekend with my family and my mom's friend and his kids. We had great weather. I brought my mom's nikon coolpix point and shoot and got some good shots of my mom's friend's family. Although I was reminded why auto-mode drives me nuts.
