Fashion Photography

 Hey Guys,

It's been a crazy few couple of day. Today I started my new job at Portrait Simple in the Westfield Garden State Plaza Mall. It's a great company that produces wonderful photography. I've only been there a day but it already feels like it's going to be a good fit for me.
Sunday was my mom's wedding which I shot. I'm going through the images in my spare time. It was a wonderful wedding and everyone seemed like they had a great time. The band was awesome and really set the atmosphere for the whole party.
On Saturday we had our shoot for Fashion Photography 1. I wish I was able to shoot more with the studio lights, but I made my own opportunity. While the models were waiting to be shot on the seamless, I asked if I could shoot a few images with my ring flash against the wood panel on the FIT auditorium stage. They were all greatly understanding. I was there to build up my portfolio and I wanted to take any avantage I could that say. Below are my results. 

Ryan Walker Headshots

Hey Guys,

Another head shot post. This one is my friend Ryan Walker. He's trying to get work as model/film extra and needed a few head shots. Our mutual friend Nancy Wolfe was delighted over the ones I did for her promotional work, and she recommended that he ask me to do his as well. It was a great afternoon with him and his new fiance, Christine. I did them all in her apartment. She recently moved back to NYC and has minimal furniture and pretty much everything in her place. It's not the most comfortable to live in, but great to photograph against. I wish Ryan and Christine the best of luck with their engament and their lives together in the future.

Nancy Wolfe Headshots

Hey Guys,

I've been busy lately, but it's nice. David's cycling season is done for the year and my fall classes began.  I'm taking Photoshop 2 and I've been enjoying it so far. It seems like the rest of the class knows that they're doing so my professor has been teaching as a fast pace.

Today I took photos of my friend Nancy Wolfe. She is promoting a documentary she helped create and produce, Fit to Print. http://fittoprintfilm.com/ It's about the US newspaper industry. A podcast she did an interview for needed a high resolution headshot of her, and I agreed to hand her the favor. We met in Union Square and I shot a few images. The cloudy overcast day made the lighting super perfect and my images turned out great. I love it when my work looks crazy professional.

Freud Royce

Hey guys,

I been trying to keep busy. School started not too long ago, which is awesome. I'm doing a Photoshop 2 class and a bunch of portfolio building classes. I'm a bit angry the other class I need for my certificate didn't run, but who doesn't complain about their school. I was nice to bump into some people I haven't seen since last spring. 

Well before class on the first day, I met up with my pal Efren. His told me his new band, Freud Royce, need some new promo photos for their Facebook, flyers, ect. We all met up by the Jersey City waterfront. I got a some great shots that day
