'Shopped

Hey guys,

David and I just got back from Vermont late last night. It wasn't the best weekend ever for us; his race didn't go in his favor, and I almost ended up with heat exhaustion by falling asleep in the car with the windows up and in the sun. We're both fine. He is setting out a new training schedule and I learned that coconut water is nature's Pedialite. I did manage to snap a few good shots during the trip that im currently going through editing, and I posted to Instagram during the whole trip. I'll put up a blog post about that next. Right now I decided to put up a few before/after shots that I finished. All edited in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Also I'm trying to come up with a new watermark, I'm still indifferent about it.

Until next time,
Teresa

Black and white portraits

A small sample of past work. Black and white portraits I shot.

I love this photo of my friend Edwin. It shows his personality completely. Plus my photoshops skills are have been greatly improving and becoming much faster.

Welcome Back, I guess to myself. I know my blog took a much too long hiatus as various things were happening in my life (work, school, personal stuff), but I decided to give it a try again. I hope to share parts of myself, my work, and my creativity to all that read.

This above is going to be the first post of a new start. I shot it at a street fair by Union Square. This table was LOADED with beautiful glass pendants.

type 55 film

I've decided to shoot some more images on my iphone using a new app I bought; Photo 55. It's a new app from Double H Productions that lets you create the look of the classic Type 55 or 665 film, with just a couple of clicks. It produces digital black and white images that look similar to Polaroid type 55 film. Polaroid Type 55 film is a black-and-white peel-apart Polaroid film that yields both a positive print and a negative image. Unfortunately in 2008 Polaroid decided to stop producing all instant film, including Type 55. Even with this sad loss in the photography world it's great that photographers and various software companies are keeping the spirit of simple vintage photography but with a digital edge. Also it had great to leave color alone for a bit and just focus solely on light, shadow, and shape; even if it's just with an iphone app.

Happy Birthday Sheila

Today we celebrated my Aunt Sheila's 51st birthday. Her M&M's cake was
very cute and we all loved it.
